  3. "Sports Illustrated 1994 Multimedia Almanac"

  5. Problems Installing on Norton Desktops and Central Point Desktop
  6. ----------------------------------------------------------------           
  7. If you are running Norton desktop, Central Point Desktop, or desktop program other
  8. then windows Program Manager, you may experience problems installing the program.
  9. To install "Sports Illustrated", follow these steps:
  10.  
  11. 1. Use the desktop program (Norton Desktops, Central Point Desktop or other) to load
  12.    the Window Program Manager before installing "Sports Illustrated".
  13. 2. Once Window Program Manager is running, you can proceed with the "Sports Illustrated"
  14.    installation.
  15. 3. A Program Group will is created during the installation process.
  16. 4. The next time you start the Desktop program (Norton desktop, Central Point Desktop, 
  17.    or desktop program other then windows Program Manager), the sports Illustrated Program 
  18.    Group will appear.

  21. Memory
  22. ------
  23. "Sports Illustrated" requires 4 MB of random access memory (RAM) to run.
  24. Be sure that any memory managers you might have running can give "Sports Illustrated"
  25. the memory it needs. We recommend that "Sports Illustrated" be the only application 
  26. running in Windows since other program might effect memory allocation. Make sure you
  27. close all other memory resident programs, including screen savers.

  29. Display Drivers
  30. ---------------
  31. We recommend that you run "Sports Illustrated" with an SVGA display running in 
  32. 640 x 480 mode with 256 colors. You may be able to run in higher modes but if 
  33. you experience problems, return to this configuration. If you are having problems 
  34. with your display while running the program, be sure that you have the correct
  35. display driver installed. You can check this information using the Windows Setup
  36. program. You can also use the Windows Setup to install updated display drivers.

  39. Current Drivers!
  40. ----------------
  41. Make sure you are using the latest graphic and sound card drivers available for your
  42. hardware. If you are having problems and you are not sure if you have the latest
  43. drivers, please contact your graphics or sound card manufacturer. You can contact
  44. them directly by phone or through Compuserve.
